Divider Systems

A divider system is a grid of slotted panels that interlock inside a perimeter frame, turning a tray, drawer or container into many cells. Sets are made to order in any size, height and layout, decided by tray inside dimensions and cell spacing. Dividers are temper-treated, laser-cut, and precision-coated fiberboard with an ESD paint, corrugated plastic, and solid plastic divider option available. Standard and custom layouts can be drawn online in the Divider Designer, and label holders, tray mats and molded bin cups are added to order.

Dividers are primarily outfitted onto trays from leading manufacturers of vertical lift modules and carousel units. Grids also fit cabinet drawers, straight-wall bins on shelving and pick walls, and kit boxes at assembly and kitting benches. Industrial distributors and MRO suppliers regularly put hardware, fasteners and pipe fittings one size to a cell. Hospital pharmacy staff utilize them in medical and pharmacy applications to store surgical instruments and vials. Industrial equipment plants, automotive specialists, and aircraft engine and defense electronics suppliers rely on them regularly for SMT reel filing and complex component storage.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do your hardboard divider systems compare to traditional metal ones for vertical lift modules (VLMs)?

Flexcon’s hardboard divider systems offer a 50% reduction in cost, weight, and installation time compared to metal. This leads to quieter, more energy-efficient VLM operation and eliminates the risk of sharp metal edges damaging valuable parts.

How do custom dividers protect delicate or cosmetically critical products better than just placing them in an open tote?

By creating individual cells, dividers prevent parts or products from colliding with and scratching each other during handling and transit. This is crucial for protecting both consumer goods and critical components from cosmetic damage that could lead to rejects and returns.

How do I determine which divider system is compatible with my existing inventory of containers?

The easiest way is to provide us with the model number or the internal dimensions (length, width, and height) of your existing containers. Flexcon’s team can then match them to the correct divider system from our extensive library of designs or create a custom solution.

Can you create a custom-sized divider system for a proprietary container or case?

Absolutely, Flexcon specializes in creating custom divider systems. Using corrugated plastic or water-jet cut foam, we can fabricate a divider set to fit virtually any container, case, or box perfectly, with low tooling costs.

How quickly can your systems be assembled and installed into a large number of totes?

Flexcon’s divider systems are designed for rapid assembly. A simple corrugated plastic divider set can be assembled and placed in a tote in under a minute, allowing your team to configure a large number of containers very efficiently.
